RSPH Level 1 Asbestos Awareness Course

We are an accredited course provider for the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) Level 1 Asbestos Awareness courses.

The course is a key element for any individual who may come into contact with asbestos containing materials (ACMs) through their line of work. These individuals include building services managers, engineers, all tradesmen and many more. There is a legal duty for employers to ensure all their staff have had sufficient training to ensure that they do not become exposed to asbestos fibres.

This qualification will ensure that employers meet this requirement by explaining the effects of asbestos on the health of individuals, the types of material likely to contain asbestos, the location of these materials within buildings, and procedures for minimising the risk of asbestos fibre release.

RSPH Level 1 in Asbestos Awareness is a nationally recognised qualification which complies with the HSE CAR 2006 legislation.

The course includes 5 guided learning hours, followed by a multiple choice examination paper consisting of 15 questions. The pass mark for the examination is 10/15 (nothing to worry about!). A light lunch and unlimited tea and coffee is included.

We currently have an offer on this course. The cost is £75 + VAT per candidate (normally £135 + VAT). There is an additional £25 per candidate for the RSPH examination fee. Organise at least 10 people for the course and 1 will be free! We run the course at a venue in Eastleigh, near Southampton.

We can also run the course at your business premises at a cost of £495 + VAT.  There will be a fee of £25 + VAT per person (number unlimited subject to venue restrictions) if you require the examination and RSPH qualification. Please note lunch and refreshments at not provided for courses run from external venues. For courses run at external venues we cover the South, London and the Midlands. We do not charge travel or expenses on top of the costs above.

We also offer Refresher Training. Please ask for further details.
